PAMELA A. BABUSCI
We're pleased to welcome Pamela back to Haigaonline with this solo portfolio of ink brush and mixed media work. Pamela is an internationally award winning haiku/tanka & haiga artist. Some of her awards include: Museum of Haiku Literature Award, multiple International Tanka Splendor Awards, First Place Tanka Yellow Moon Competition (Australia), First Place Kokako Tanka Competition (New Zealand) Basho Festival Haiku Contest (Japan) and Honorable Mention Suruga Baika Literary Festival (Japan) She has illustrated several books, including Full Moon Tide: The Best of Tanka Splendor Awards and Taboo Haiku, and she was also the logo artist for Haiku North America in NYC in 2003 and HNA in Winston-Salem, NC in 2007.
Pamela is a multi-faceted artist. Her painting styles include abstract watercolors and oils, sumi-e, and Chinese calligraphy. In addition, she presses flowers, ferns & leaves to make cards & framings, and makes collages & jewelry. Poetry & art have been an integral part of her existence since her early teenage years. She writes that she has a deep desire to be creative on a daily basis. It feeds her spirit & soul, gives meaning to her life, and will continue to be a driving force until she meets her creator.
