We're pleased to have Kirsty back in Haigaonline, and to welcome Cheryl. Kirsty and her husband live on the coast of Maine, where they spend summers sailing and kayaking. She is the author of Water Poems: Haiku, Tanka, and Sijo (2005). She has won awards for her haiku, notably the R H Blyth Award in 2002 and the Mainichi Award in 2003, and has been published in the USA, Canada, England and Japan. A graduate of Reed College, and the Art and Integrated Media Graduate Program at California Institute of the Arts, Cheryl is a biologist whose specialty is the interrelationship of art and science.
