DAVID AND ARTHUR GIACALONE
New York US

David started writing haiku a few years ago when illness forced him to stop his law practice. Two years ago he began putting his own, along with the haiku of established poets, on his weblog f/k/a (http://blogs.law.harvard.edu/ethicalesq/), a website that had commentary aimed at lawyers and others in the legal profession. Since then, his haiku and senryu have been published in Heron's Nest, Frogpond, Simply Haiku, and Roadrunner among others. He maintains personal haiku and senryu blogs (http://dagosanshaikudiary.blogspot.com/ and http://simplysenryu.blogspot.com/).

Photography has long been Arthur's main source of creative expression though commitments to family and to his own law practice have meant putting art aside for the past several years. Collaboration on haiga is a new endeavor, and we are pleased to welcome them. Not only is this their first joint publication, it is our first family haiga by twin brothers!
