"Kitsune Miko" is a pen name, one of several that Sandy uses to categorize the various styles in which she writes. Haiku and tanka are one facet of her interest in Japanese arts and culture. She is a potter, cultivator of bonsai, and collector of Ukiyo-e. Recently she has been working for a local children's art and science museum, and themes from this experience have begun to appear in her own work. The delightfully airborne children featured here are Sandy's friends and neighbors.
