These traditional haiga have been created by our team of resident staff artisans. Mary Rodning paints the haiga; Hiromi Inoue translates the haiku into Japanese; Shisen adds the calligraphy, and our resident musician Choshi, composes an accompaniment on his bamboo flute. Finally, our co-editor Jasminka puts on the finishing touches by merging each honoured guest's chosen haiku with its image and calligraphy.
