Born in Slovenia, Jadran took a doctorate in philosophy at university and is now a spiritual teacher of Zen and Tantra. He is the President of the Haiku Society of Rijeka, Croatia. His publications include Hvatanje sjenke vjetra / Catching the Shadows of the Wind (Rijeka, 1999) a bilingual haiku anthology, which co-edited with Mile Stamenkovic, and several collections of haiku including Haiku vremeplov / Haiku Time Machine (1996), Osmijeh putnika / Smiling the Wanderer (1998), Putnikova duga / The Travellers Rainbow (2001), Dah Mora / Breath of a Sea (2002), and Poljubac daljina / The Kiss of Distances (2004).
