Biography: Jerry Dreesen


Jerry Dreesen
has been writing poetry and short stories for 40 years and has self-published two collections of his poetry, Where There Was a River, and Bird Watching and Other One Act Plays. He has been active on several e-poetry forums, including The Critical Poet, in which has been moderator of the "Heavy Duty" forum. He has been published in a number of small-press journals including Loose-Ends, Agnieszka's Dowery, Skylark (a literary journal of Purdue University) as well as e-zines such as Stirrings, Fandango, Bonfire, HaikuHut, Nectarzine and Carnelian. Jerry is a member of the Indianapolis Writer?s Center. Most recently he was poetry winner of the 2002 ?Masterpiece in a Day? Competition in Historic Fountain Square in Indianapolis.
