| This haiku placed Second, the reasons being content, the way it's written, and its juxtaposition. Normally, I personally prefer haiku in three lines beginning left, however in this particular haiku, the form matches the haiku. It is easy to envision that the author 'is' the ' volery of swallows' pulling her readers 'ahead of the storm'. The contrast of the expanse of clouds verses the birds is good as well; if only mankind could keep just ahead of life's storms like Janice's swallows . . . editor | ||||||||
